Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a cross platform set of standard protocols, which is used for managing diverse computer hardware and software within a TCP/IP network, and is used for monitoring the health of network equipment, computer equipment and devices like UPSs. It uses IPv4 and Ipv6 to implement SNMP v1, SNMPv2c and SNMP v3.
